HOW TO FEED AND NURTURE YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS
Being able to dialogue with, understand, care for, and nurture your creative process can free you up to take your creativity and art in directions you may not have imagined, as well as help to work through creative blocks and get out of creative ruts. In this class, we will explore how to identify, nurture, and explore your own unique creative process. We will utilize mindfulness to initiate contact with your internal and external worlds and explore how creativity can stem from the interface of these two worlds. We will utilize movement work to make contact with, and personify your creative process as a way to more fully understand and create a cooperative and caring relationship with it. Using multiple mediums, we will reflect individually and as a group upon what we discovered about our processes and how we relate to them. You will leave with a fuller, more gratifying, and cooperative relationship with your creative process!

ENGAGING OUR INTERNAL CRITIC: DISARMING OUR INTERNAL CRITIC THROUGH DIALOGUE AND WITNESSING - RATHER THAN CONFLICT AND JUDGEMENT
How would you characterize your relationship with your internal critic? In this workshop, we will get a better sense of who/what our personal critic is and develop new ways of relating to it. Through a better relationship with your internal critic, you may develop a new relationship with your creativity and art making. In this workshop, we will use multiple modalities and mediums, including visual art, poetry/writing, sound making, and movement to articulate your relationship with your critic and learn new ways of relating with it.
